It all started with photography. I got my first camera at the age of twelve and since then never stopped taking pictures. During that period I won the Reuter's Willie Vicoy scholarship at the University of Missouri and studied there at the Photojournalism department. Then somewhere in 2002 I got an assignment to work on a feature film as a still photographer and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere of the filmset. That was so much different from the loneliness of a photographer's journey and I decided to switch sides. I made 6 short films from which "The last frame" and "The Cigarette Box" are my favorites. Both were shown at the Camerimage festival in Lodz. "The Cigarette box" was awarded for best cinematography at the Polish Film Festival in Los Angeles in 2006, and at the 16th International Student Short-Film Festival of Cergy-Pontoise, France. Today I make my living by both directing and shooting commercials.Married, two children, and a big fan of Oasis. Live forever! |
